A Little About Me...

Background

Hello, world! My name is Walker Harris, and I am a wine nerd. I moved to Charleston in 2014 to study at the College of Charleston. In order to do put myself through school, I began working in the food and beverage industry. Quickly falling in love, I decided I wanted to become a chef, and thus learn everything there is to know about food and drinks.
Upon turning 21 (though I did develop quite a palate for alcohol before then)I became really intersted in wine. So much so that I signed up for a sommelier class at a local wine bar, and ulitmately became a certified sommelier.
Since then, I have hung up my chef's coat and decided to go back to school to pursue a degree in Computer Science. When I am not studying programming languages, you can find me working at Edmund's Oast Exchange, a local wine shop. We carry wine from nearly 1500 producers, which means we have options for just about anyone.
